2017-18 fee structure
2017-18 membership fee
As we begin preparing for spring registration, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our valued leaders for delivering high-quality adventures and experiences throughout this Scouting year. Scouts Canada surveys a selection of parents on their child’s Scouting experience throughout the year, and our quarterly surveys continue to show high levels of satisfaction:
High parent satisfaction is a clear indicator that our Scouters are delivering a quality Scouting program. Working together, We are providing unique challenges through youth-led adventures that help kids develop into confident, well-rounded individuals, and that is something of which we can all be proud.
Now it’s time to gear up for another year of great Scouting adventures, and this message provides important details on 2017–2018 Membership Fees and Registration as you guide parents through spring registration.
The membership fees
The Scouts Canada National membership fee* for 2017–2018 has been set at $215, a modest increase that sustains our competitive advantage while enabling us to continue offering a high quality program. An early registration discount is also offered:
May 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017 qualify for a spring registration discount rate of $185.
July 1 – December 31, a fee of $215 applies.
For registrations after January 1, 2018, a fee of $165 would apply.
NOTE: Some Groups will prefer to have a one time "Group Fee" added to the membership fee. This upfront cost is used to offset some of the section operational costs associated with quality programing. Other Groups will prefer to have weekly dues; essentially doing the same thing as an upfront fee.
Start the scouting adventure immediately
